This song was commissioned by my colleague Lauren Cairco Dukes, who suggested that

A pleasant sounding song about construction trucks would get a lot of play time in our house.

I want to acknowledge the great Matt Beck for his brilliant electric guitar work on this one. I know Matt from back when we were in a band, in NYC, in the 90s. He is, kind, sweet, fun, easygoing, and absurdly proficient on guitars, bass, keyboards, and even pedal steel. He’s now a first-call session guy in NYC, and has been recently flying around to sub for various members of the B-52s. But when I need electric guitar that’s beyond my ham-fists, he has always been there for me. I send him the track, and I barely need to suggest what I have in mind. He plays on these songs, as well:
