55

Still alive.

55

My friend Daniel Koulomzin lent me his Gibson SG, and I didn’t see any way to avoid writing an AC/DC song with it. It was only fair that he had to play the solo.

I’ve got two racks of pills with the days of the week
One for day and one for the night
I’ve got two love handles and a pain in the knees
Before I get undressed I turn out the light

I eat a lot of veggies and I walk the dog
I take 10000 steps a day
And if you see me heading for the bathroom at night
Well you better get out of my way

Because I’m 55
But I’m still alive
Yes I’m 55
I’m still alive

I’ve got two grown kids, they’ve taken all my old clothes
Nothing fits me from before 2010
I’ve got too much cholesterol and not the right kind
I’m just a pint of ice cream from the end

It’s been a long long time since I was in my prime
There’s so many things I forget
So if I see you and I don’t recall your name
Just be glad I’m around, and that I’m not dead yet

Don’t write me off yet
